Microsoft 365 GCC High Licensing
The government community cloud built for handling CUI. It cannot be bought on a credit card — it goes through an authorised partner, and eligibility is established before anything is provisioned.
How it works
- Eligibility is validated first. GCC High exists for organisations with specific obligations and is not open to everyone.
- Licensing is provisioned through an authorised partner rather than bought directly from Microsoft.
- Plan selection, based on what your obligations actually require rather than the most complete option.
Do you actually need it?
Not every defense contractor does. The question is what data you hold and what your contracts require — some obligations are satisfiable without GCC High, and it costs more and offers less than commercial Microsoft 365.
We would rather tell you that before you buy it than after. If your obligations do not require it, moving there anyway means paying more for fewer features and a smaller application ecosystem.
Worth knowing
Validation takes time. It is not an obstacle so much as a lead time, and it is worth starting before you have a contractual deadline.
GCC High trails commercial Microsoft 365 on some features and release timing, and fewer third-party applications support it. Check anything your business depends on before committing.
How we scope this
We do not quote this work before seeing your environment. How long it takes and what it costs depend on what you already have, how much of it there is, and how quickly your side can make decisions — and a number produced without knowing those is a guess you would end up budgeting against.
What we will commit to is a start: work begins within five business days of signature. If a particular engagement cannot start inside that window, we say so before you sign.
